Introduced to the sport of rowing in 2003, Ursula Grobler-James has been training with her rowing coach Carlos Dinares at the University of Washington. Six months ago, Carlos introduced the Shuttle MVP into Ursula's training, making a conscious decision to avoid traditional weightlifting. He said it would "break the coordination and contractions of her muscles." Instead, he wanted to focus on developing "fast, elastic, dynamic power" with the MVP.

Not expected to win - and starting from the nineteenth position - Ursula won her Championship Women's Singles division by 3 seconds with an overall time of 19 minutes, 34 seconds.

Congratulations Ursula!
