TwitterYancey (6-0) defeated Irwin Weiser (5-2) who hadn't lost since his first fight. Yancy won his championship belt on Fox Sports NW at the "Conquest of the Cage" show in Spokane.
Shayne Simpson, owner of Team Rock Solid Fighters, had this to say about Yancey: "What a great fight! 4th Round TKO from Ground and Pound. A fight that fighters dig down deep to fight! A fight with heart. I salute both him and his opponent for a great fight!"
As a member of Team Rock Solid Fighters in Bellingham, Washington, Yancey trains on the Shuttle MVP to develop his length strength and explosive power. He has recently incorporated upper body work on the MVP to increase his punching strength and power.
