Justin Hunt, Freestyle Physical Therapist at the United States Ski and Snowboard Association

Justin Hunt is the Freestyle Physical Therapist at the USSA and was kind enough to take us on a tour of their Center of Excellence facility. Our tour began in the "Walk of Fame" entryway where its towering banners, pictures and stories get you in the Olympic mood.

The Center of Excellence of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association

Justin showed us how our Olympic athletes get cutting edge training in their state-of-the-art cardio and sport science lab. The weight room was large and chock full of the latest strength and conditioning equipment. He showed us the Ramps and Tramps area where the athletes practice their acrobatics. And, of course, no self-respecting ski and snowboarding training facility would be complete without a full size basketball gymnasium.

The USSA is using our Shuttle MVP in their Physical Therapy Rehab and Recovery Center. USSA purchased their MVP in 2009 and so I serviced the machine to make sure its rebounding system and elasticords were in good working condition. Justin said they use their MVP primarily for lower extremity rehab. They also have our Shuttle Balance that they use in lower extremity work.

I shared some of the latest exercises our MVP owners have shared with us and then it was time to go.

It was a great visit of a truly great facility. Oh, and don't let the picture of the guy skiing in powder confuse you.... when we were there, there wasn't a single flake of snow to be found anywhere.

But It's coming....

Thanks Justin!
